Travel

The most convenient airport to arrive at is Tampa International Airport (TPA). TPA is about 20 miles from USF St. Petersburg and the Bayfront Hilton. Taxis are convenient but might be expensive (>$60). The Super Shuttle (SuperShuttle - Serving Hillsborough, Pinellas, Pasco and Hernando Counties
(800) 282-6817 or (727) 572-1111) lists one way fare to St. Petersburg as $27.

International travelers may wish to arrive at Orlando International Airport for less expensive airfares. However, this usually requires car rental as Orlando is a 90 minute drive (in good traffic conditions.)

There is a trolley from Downtown St. Petersburg to the Gulf Beaches that runs on Central Avenue. The Suncoast Beach TrolleySM runs every 20 - 30 minutes from 5:05 a.m. to 10:10 p.m., Monday through Sunday, including holidays, with service until midnight on Friday and Saturday. Look for special trolley bus stop signs located frequently along the route. In addition to the services along Gulf Boulevard, connector routes run between the coast and downtown St. Petersburg.

PSTA Bus Operators do not carry cash or make change, exact fare is required. The bus and trolley fare is just $1.75 per ride, or ride all day with an Unlimited Daily GO Card. GO Cards are $4.00 and are available onboard the trolleys, buses, or at various locations countywide
